This Privacy Policy describes how TIDY ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information about individuals who use our website or mobile application (collectively, our "Services").
In this Policy, "Personal Information" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with you. Personal Information does not include information that is publicly available as defined by applicable privacy legislation or is anonymized.
2. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect Personal Information directly from you that you voluntarily share with us through the Services, indirectly from you through technology (e.g., your activity on the Services), and from our service providers, service professionals, and business partners.
2.1 Information You Provide to Us
- Contact Information: Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
- Account Information: Username, password, and profile information
- Service Information: Details about requested services, home information (such as number of bedrooms, types of appliances), and special instructions
- Payment Information: Credit card information is processed by our payment processors and is not directly received by us
- Professional Information: For service professionals, we may collect work experience, skills, and professional profiles

- Device Information: IP address, device identifiers, and browser type
- Usage Information: Pages visited, features used, browsing history on our Services, and interaction with our Services and ads

If you provide information about your home to request a booking or quote for a service, we may post your first name, the initial of your last name, the type of service requested, your zip code, the date of your request, and any description of the requested service that you provide.
5. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
We collect information through technology to enhance our ability to serve you. When you access and use our Services, we and, in some cases, our service providers collect information about how you interact with the Services.
5.1 Types of Tracking Technologies We Use
- Cookies: Small files that a website transfers to your device through a web browser that enable the website to recognize your device and capture certain information. We use cookies to ensure proper functioning of our Services, remember your preferences, analyze how our Services are used, and deliver relevant advertisements.
- Web Beacons: Small graphic images (also known as "pixel tags" or "clear GIFs") that help us track the online movements of users, measure the success of our marketing campaigns, and compile statistics about usage of our Services.
- Device Identifiers: We may collect a unique identifier for your computer or mobile device. We may link this Device Identifier to other information about your visit and to Personal Information you provide us.

Our Services use analytics technologies, including Google Analytics. You may exercise choices regarding the use of cookies from Google Analytics by using Google's opt-out browser add-on.
We do not currently support the "Do Not Track" browser setting. We may track your online activities over time and across third-party websites or online services.

If you login to our Services through a social networking site, such as Facebook, we may collect your authentication token and account identification number to provide you with access to your account.
6. INFORMATION FROM OR ABOUT OTHER PARTIES
6.1 Information You Provide About Others
Referrals: If you use our referral service to tell a friend about our Services, we may collect your friend's name and email address to send a one-time invitation. Your email address may be included in this message.
Ratings and Reviews: If you provide ratings or reviews about service professionals, we may display your first name, last initial, and neighborhood along with your feedback on the service professional's profile. Service professionals may use these ratings and reviews in their own marketing materials.
6.2 Information We Receive From Others
We may supplement the information we collect about you with records from third parties to enhance our services, tailor content, and offer relevant information.
When you book our services through booking partners, they may share your booking information with us, including your name, contact details, and service address.
6.3 Third-Party Sites
Our Services include links to third-party sites and plugins. We don't control these sites or their information collection practices. We recommend reading their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
7. COMMUNICATIONS
7.1 Message Interception
If you call or text message a service professional using the number provided by TIDY, we use service providers to mask your telephone number. During this process, we receive and store call data, including date, time, phone numbers, and message content.
7.2 Text Messaging Consent
By using our Services, you consent to receive communications from us, including via text message, calls, and push notifications. Standard text messaging charges from your carrier will apply.
You may receive operational communications about your account, updates about new features, promotional messages, and news about TIDY. You are not required to consent to promotional messages to use our Services.
You may opt-out of receiving promotional or marketing texts or calls at any time. To opt-out of all text messages from us, reply with the word "STOP" to any text message you receive from us.

- Opt out of targeted advertising

8.1 UNITED STATES PRIVACY RIGHTS IN DETAIL
While some states have codified certain privacy rights for their citizens, TIDY endeavors to provide most of these rights to all users, regardless of their specific state residency. These rights are subject to verification, and there may be legal reasons we cannot fulfill certain requests in your instance. In such cases, you will be advised and have the right to appeal.
To exercise any of these rights, please submit a request to us via email at privacy@tidy.com including the email address you've used with TIDY. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; however, you will still need to verify your identity directly with us before your request can be processed.
Any request you submit is subject to an identification process ("Verifiable Consumer Request"). We will not fulfill your request unless you provide sufficient information for us to reasonably verify you are the consumer about whom we collected Personal Information. We typically will not charge a fee to respond to your requests, but we may charge a reasonable fee, or refuse to act upon a request, if your request is excessive, repetitive, unfounded, or overly burdensome.
Below is a detailed list of the privacy rights you may exercise:
Right to Delete
You may request we delete your Personal Information we have collected directly from you and are currently maintaining. Please note that we may have a legal basis for retaining such Personal Information under applicable law, despite your request.
Right to Opt-Out
You have the right to opt out of targeted advertising, sales, and/or profiling. If you choose to use an opt-out browser signal, such as the Global Privacy Control, you will be opted out of cookie-based sales and shares. Please note that visiting our Services with an opt-out browser signal enabled will opt you out of sales and sharing with respect to our Services. You will need to turn on the signal for each browser that you use.
Right to Opt Out of Targeted Advertising
You have the right to request that we stop disclosures of your Personal Information for targeted advertising via cookies and tracking technologies by adjusting your cookie preferences through the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer of our website.
Right to Opt Out of Sales
We may process your Personal Information for targeted advertising, and some of the ways that we disclose Personal Information may constitute a sale (as defined in applicable state privacy laws). You have the right to opt out of our sales of your Personal Information.
Right to Opt Out of Profiling
You have the right to opt out of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. We do not use Personal Information to conduct profiling.

You have the right to know what Personal Information TIDY has about you, the categories of use, and the specific third parties with whom your information may have been shared. You also have the right to obtain a transportable copy of your Personal Information. Your right to know request may be made no more than twice in a 12-month period. Your right to know request may include:
- The categories of Personal Information we have collected about you
- The categories of sources from which the Personal Information was collected
- Our business or commercial purposes for collecting, selling, or sharing your Personal Information
- The categories of third parties to which we disclosed your Personal Information
- The specific third parties with whom your Personal Information may have been shared
- The categories of Personal Information we sold or shared about you and the categories of third parties to which each category was sold or shared
- The categories of Personal Information we disclosed about you for a business purpose and the categories of persons to which it was disclosed
Right to Request List of Third Parties
You have the right to request a list of Third Parties to which we disclosed your Personal Data, meaning a person, public corporation, or public body that is not a consumer, controller, processor, or affiliate of a controller or processor.
Right to Correct Personal Information
You may request we correct Personal Information that we maintain about you if you believe such Personal Information is inaccurate. Upon receipt of a verifiable request to correct inaccurate Personal Information, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to correct the information as you direct.
Right to Limit Use and Disclosure of Your Sensitive Personal Information
In the event that we use sensitive Personal Information to infer characteristics about you, you may direct us to limit the use and disclosure of your sensitive Personal Information to uses and disclosures that are reasonably necessary to provide our goods and services. We do not use or disclose sensitive Personal Information to infer characteristics, nor do we use or disclose sensitive Personal Information for other purposes not listed here.
Right to Non-Discrimination
If you choose to exercise any of your privacy options described herein, you also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment by us.
Right to Appeal
If you are unsatisfied with our actions related to the exercise of one of your privacy rights above, you may appeal our decision.
8.2 Notice of Financial Incentive
From time to time, we offer discounts and promotions ("Programs") that provide benefits to those who choose to participate. Participation requires you to provide some Personal Information, such as email addresses, phone numbers, and/or zip codes. The full terms and conditions of our Programs will be set forth where the opportunity to sign up is offered.
We have made a good faith estimate that the value of consumers' Personal Information provided in connection with our Programs is equivalent to the relevant expenses related to the collection and retention of that Personal Information. By joining our Programs, you consent to any associated financial incentive. You have the right to withdraw from the financial incentive at any time by discontinuing our Programs in the manner provided.
Unless you specifically request, submission of a request to delete your Personal Information will not erase information required for you to continue to participate in our Programs. Should you wish to delete your Personal Information associated with our Programs (and thereby cancel your participation), please contact us at privacy@tidy.com.
We may offer you financial incentives for the collection, sale, retention, and use of your Personal Information as permitted by law. The material aspects of any financial incentive will be explained and described in its terms. Participating in incentive programs is entirely optional, you will have to affirmatively opt-in to the Program, and you can opt-out of each Program prospectively by following the instructions in the applicable Program description and terms. We may add or change incentive Programs and/or their terms by posting notice on the Program descriptions and terms.
8.3 California Shine the Light
The California Shine the Light law permits customers in California to request certain details about how their personal information is "shared" with third parties as defined in the Shine the Light law, and in some cases affiliates, if personal information is shared for those third parties' or affiliates' own direct marketing purposes. We share personal information with third parties or affiliates for those third parties' or affiliates' own direct marketing purposes. Californians may request information about our personal information sharing by contacting us at privacy@tidy.com. Please include "California Shine the Light Request" in the subject line and in the body of your message. Please note that "Shine the Light" rights are granted by different laws and must be exercised separately.
9. INFORMATION RETENTION
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. We generally keep information as long as:
- It's reasonably necessary to manage our operations, your relationship with us, or for the purpose it was collected
- It's needed to carry out a disclosed purpose compatible with the context in which it was collected
- It's required to protect or defend our rights or property
Where information is used for multiple purposes, we retain it until the purpose with the latest retention period expires.
10. SWEEPSTAKES, CONTESTS, AND PROMOTIONS
We may offer sweepstakes, contests, and other promotions (collectively "Promotion") through our Services that may require providing Personal Information to register. By participating in a Promotion, you agree to the official rules governing that Promotion, which may include allowing the sponsor to use your name, voice, and/or likeness in advertising or marketing.
If you choose to enter a Promotion, Personal Information may be disclosed to third parties or the public in connection with the administration of such Promotion, including for winner selection, prize fulfillment, and as required by law or permitted by the Promotion's official rules, such as on a winners' list.
11. TARGETED ADVERTISING AND SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Although we don't sell personal information for money, some ways we share information for targeted advertising may be considered "sales" or "sharing" under privacy laws. Categories of information we may share for targeted advertising include:
- Identifiers (such as device information and IP addresses)
- Personal records
- Internet or electronic network activity information
- Geolocation data (inferred from your IP address)
- Inferences about preferences and behaviors
We share this information with third-party advertisers and some analytics vendors to show you relevant ads while browsing the internet or using social media. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.

The security and confidentiality of your Personal Information is important to us. We implement commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and physical security measures to protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, disclosure, and improper use.
It's important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your account password and your computer. Be sure to log out of your account or close your browser after completing your visit to our Services. Please note that despite our reasonable efforts, no security measure is perfect or impenetrable, so we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your Personal Information.
13. YOUR CHOICES
You may contact privacy@tidy.com to update, correct, or delete your Personal Information. You may also update, correct, and delete some of your Personal Information through your account on our Services.
You may opt out of marketing emails by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of emails we send or by sending an email to privacy@tidy.com.
14. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
We do not collect any information from anyone under 16 years of age. Our Services are all directed to people who are at least 16 years old or older. If you are under the age of 16, you are not authorized to use our Services.
15. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
TIDY operates and is based in the United States. If you are using our Services from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States and other countries, which may employ different data protection laws.
The data protection laws and regulations that apply to your personal information transferred to the United States or other countries may be different from the laws in your country. In all cases, we take appropriate measures to protect your personal information in accordance with the standards described in this Policy.
16. SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION
In limited circumstances, we may collect sensitive personal information such as:
- Precise geolocation (for service professionals)
- Social security numbers (for background checks of service professionals)
- Financial account information (processed by our payment processors)
Sensitive Personal Information is only used for legally permitted purposes, such as verifying the identity of service professionals and protecting the security of our Services.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Policy on our website. If we materially change this Policy in a way that affects how we use or disclose your Personal Information, we will notify you by prominently posting a notice of such changes before making them.
